Hi, I'm Catherine!

...aka The Digital Mama.

As a mother of three, I often find myself torn between my role as a mom and my career ambitions. While it is emotionally and physically draining to chase around my food-throwing, wall-drawing, bath-dodging kiddos, it is also incredibly rewarding. I love watching them learn, kissing owies, building forts, and getting lost in their imaginations.

That being said, I also love pant suits. I love black portfolios and board rooms. There’s a rush I get from creating PowerPoint slides, and outlining a new business proposal. The feeling I know most moms get from finishing their chalk painted furniture piece, I get from coding a new webpage.

Which brings me to why I created The Digital Mama (TDM). Over the years, TDM has been a reminder that my family, passions, and career ambitions are not an “either-or” pursuit. We are meant to be people of “ANDs.” I am a mother AND a wife AND a techie AND a plant killer (…maybe the last one isn’t as brag-worthy). TDM has become my outlet for bringing together my passions, my ANDs — the intersection of Motherhood and Technology.

I have three primary goals for TDM (and pretty much for my life):

Help people see the awesomeness of technology

Teach kids how to safely have fun, learn, and build relationships in the modern age

Help fellow entrepreneurs use technology to grow successful businesses

Well, that pretty much summarizes me and my current mission. Time to go, my 2 year old went from diving off his big red ball to splashing the water out of his water table and keeps eyeing my keyboard…oh no, now he’s headed my wayyyya$kjd& djaghdffsj……..
